Patricia Ann Hammond

Patricia Ann Hammond, daughter of Gertrude Lillian Butler and George Howard was born February 23, 1946 in Olney, Maryland. She departed quietly and suddenly at MedStar Montgomery Medical Center in Olney, Maryland where she was surrounded by loved ones at her bedside, Thursday October 18, 2018.

Patricia also known as "Tootie" was educated at Caver High School. She was employed by Montgomery County Public School for 26 years until her illness. She truly cherished her job. She loved cooking. She enjoyed listening to her oldies but goodies. She loved to dance, and she was light on her feet.

Patricia married Chester Hammond and they shared 47 wonderful years together. Most of all she loved being amongst family and friends.

She leaves to mourn her passing her children, Jeannette Butler, Angelo Hammond and Theresa Hammond; step children, Chester Joppy, Jr., Brenda Claggett, Barbara Joppy deceased and Gene Burton; grandchildren, Chakyra Hammond and Kae'lah Snowden; great-grandchildren Trequan Lee, Akira Joppy and Rebecca Tinker; brothers Crammer, George deceased, Monroe, Gregory, Kevin, Ronald and Michael; sisters, Delores, Joyce, Wilma and Cynthia; uncle, Richard Howard; and a host of other relatives and friends.
