Queen Ester Coleman

Queen E Coleman, 95, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 in Bethesda, Maryland.  Queen was born September 23, 1924 in Virginia to Richard and Hattie Coleman.

She received her education in the Virginia School system.  She moved to be near family members to Washington, DC then to Silver Spring, and later to Gaithersburg Maryland.  In her later years she moved to ManorCare in Bethesda.

Queen was a hard worker as a Domestic Engineer for many years. She loved good food and socializing.  She enjoyed bus trips with friends, birds, reading the Bible and being around her sisters. She loved telling stories.  She had a gift to make you feel very comfortable being in her presence. She loved shopping in downtown DC on her days off.  She enjoyed wearing hats when she attended church service.  She attended Mt. Horeb Baptist Church, Washington DC.    

Queen will be reunited in heaven with family members who made the journey before her.  Her parents Richard and Hattie, brothers Herbert and Logan, sisters Annie Walker, Ruby Coleman, nephew Anthony Coleman, Gloria Lewis and Barbara Coleman.

Left to cherish her memories are her, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
