Beloved father, son, brother, significant other, family member, and friend to so many, Samie Davon Neil, 29 of Adelphi, passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2019. Davon, as family and close friends knew him, was born on March 13, 1990 in Silver Spring, Maryland to Emrie Carter and Margo Neil. He attended Elementary, Middle, and High School in Montgomery County, Maryland, graduating from John F. Kennedy High School in 2008. He later went on to graduate American Beauty Academy where he obtained his certificate to become a licensed barber.

Over the last three years, Davon was able to succeed in his dream of becoming a business owner through the creation of his barbershop, which he established under his limited liability corporation. He was also working towards getting established in the real estate field as a real estate agents and investor.

Physical fitness was very important to Davon, so in his free time he enjoyed watching and playing basketball, and exercising. Most importantly, however, was the time he spent with the the love of his life, his daughter, Alyssa.

Those left to cherish his memory include his dearest daughter, Alyssa Lauren Neil (Natalie White), his father, Emrie Carter, mother and best friend, Margo Neil, and siblings Shaun Neil, Quinn Carter, and Evelyn Carter. He is also survived by his grandparents, Eileen Morman, Neville Neil (Maxine), Emerie Carter (Pauline), and Pauline Ofosu, as well as a host of aunts, uncles and cousins, and beloved girlfriend Jumoke Kadiri.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life gathering Saturday, November 23, 2019 at Colesville United Methodist Church, located at 52 Randolph Road, Colesville, MD 20904. A viewing will be held from 10:00am-11am, immediately followed by a church service from 11:00am-12:30pm. The burial will take place at 1:00pm at Parklawn Memorial, 12800 Veirs Mill Road, Rockville, MD 20853.
