On Wednesday, May 25th, 2021, Shirley Jean Lyles; beloved wife of Charles Lyles Sr. passed away at Washington Adventist Medical Center White Oak.

Shirley was born in Rockville, Maryland on April 27th, 1942 to the late Thomas Burton Duley and Catherine Rebecca Howard

She enjoyed her life with her beloved husband Charles Lyles Sr. and family. Spring was one of her favorite times of the year where she enjoyed watching the birds come to feed outside her window, weeding her gardens, and watching her roses come to life. She was always ready to spend time with her family and friends shopping, talking on the phone, or going out to lunch. Shirley will be missed but is leaving many fond and loving memories with her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by: Thomas B. Duley, Father, Catherine R. Howard, Mother, Janet Lowe, Sister, Brenda Rau, Sister, and Donna Stern, Daughter

Survived by her devoted husband Charles Lyles Sr., Sisters: Joyce Kline, Margaret Roberts, Sally Tobery, Palma Howard; Children: Curtis Tibbs, Karen Littrell, William Smith; A Very Special Step-Son Oscar Lyles; Grandchildren, relatives, extended family, and friends
