Tanya Lee McDaniel

Tanya Lee McDaniel was born January 18th, 1974. She entered into eternal rest on Friday, May 15th, 2020. Tanya had a heart of gold. She joined Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, Rockville, MD in 1982. Tanya always gave selflessly to others. She enjoyed alternative music, playing the piano, nature, hiking on the canal with her dog Chino, traveling abroad, and devoting her career to teaching at Resnick elementary school in Montgomery county, MD. Tanya attended Cold Spring Elementary, Robert Frost Middle School, and graduated high school from Thomas S. Wootten in 1992. Tanya obtained her associates degree from Montgomery College, Rockville, MD, and her Bachelor of Education with honors from Bowie State University college of Education in the year 2000. 

Greeting her at the heavenly gates are her paternal grandparents Geneva and Albert McDaniel, her maternal grandparents Nannie and John T. Hairston, her great grandparents Bessie and Samuel Berger, as well as Aunt Edwina Miles and her cousin, Monica Marie Miles. She is survived by her parents, James and Catherine McDaniel, her sister Celena Phaire, her brother in-law, Chris Phaire, her nephews, Cole and Chase Phaire, her god son, Keith Andre Coles Jr, and a host of relatives and friends.
